Eric Swalwell’s brother, dad finally unfriend Chinese spy Christine Fang

​The father and brother of Rep. Eric Swalwell unfriended the suspected Chinese spy who got close to the California Democrat and other elected officials in a bid to infiltrate the US political system.

Eric Swalwell, the congressman’s father, and Joshua, his brother, had remained friends on Facebook with Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang, as late as Wednesday, even after the lawmaker said he cut off all ties with the suspected spy after being briefed by the FBI, Fox News reported.

중국 여성 스파이에 놀아난 미 민주당 하원의원 미 의원들, 퇴출 캠페인 벌여    에릭 스왈웰 의원의 아버지와 동생은 미국 정치시스템에 침투하기 위해 캘리포니아 민주당원과 다른 선출직 관리들과 친하게 지낸 중국 스파이 용의자 크리스틴 팡과 친분을 끊었다. 폭스뉴스는 연방수사국(FBI)의 보고를 받은 뒤 이 의원이 간첩 용의자와 모든 관계를 끊었다고 밝힌 뒤에도 이 의원의 아버지 에릭 스왈웰과 그의 동생 조슈아는 수요일까지 팡팡으로 알려진 크리스틴 팽과 페이스북 친구로 남아 있었다고 보도했다. 크리스틴 팡은  2015년 FBI의 수사 중에 출국헤버렸다. 대학생으로 가장한 팡은 2011년 입국해 캘리포니아 더블린 시의원 시절 스왈웰을 처음 만났다. 스왈웰은 팡 총통과 관련된 가장 유명한 정치인이었는데, 팡 총통은 선출된 관료들에게 마음을 편안하게 해주고 정치 체제에 대한 정보를 수집하려는 시도로 두 명의 중서부 시장에게 추파를 던졌다고 한다. 놀라운 사실은 스왈웰 의원이 하원 정보위원회 소속이라는 사실이었다. 미 정부의 모든 정보를 보고 받는 위치에 있었다. 하지만 그는 팽과의 성관계 여부에 대해서는 언급하지 않았다. 스왈웰의 사무실은 이 이야기를 처음 보도한 악시오스에게 "스왈웰 의원은 오래 전에 8년 전에 만났고 거의 6년 동안 보지 못했던 이 사람에 대한 정보를 FBI에 제공했다"고 말했다.  황기철 콘페이퍼 에디터 Ki Chul Hwang Conpaper editor curator

She left the country in 2015 amid the FBI investigation into her activities.

But in 2016, she liked a video posted by Joshua on his Facebook page with his brother.

Posing as a college student, Fang arrived in the country in 2011 and first met Swalwell when he was a councilman in Dublin, Calif.

Swalwell was the highest-profile politician involved with Fang, who allegedly bedded two Midwestern mayors in her attempts to cozy up to elected officials and glean information about the political system.

The congressman, who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, has refused to address whether he had sex with Fang.

“Rep. Swalwell, long ago, provided information about this person — whom he met more than eight years ago, and whom he hasn’t seen in nearly six years — to the FBI,” Swalwell’s office told Axios, which first reported the story. “To protect information that might be classified, he will not participate in your story.”
