미국에서 10대 제자에게 노출 사진을 보낸 30대 여교사가 징역 2년형을 선고받고 평생 성범죄자로 등록됐다.
18일(현지 시각) 미 CNN에 따르면 2014년 미스 켄터키 수상자인 29세 미국 여성 교사가 미성년자인 15세 제자에게 음란한 사진을 보냈다는 혐의로 징역 2년형을 선고받았다.

Central Utah high school teacher charged with sexually exploiting student SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A high school teacher located in central Utah has been charged with sexually exploiting a 16-year-old student. He is charged in Carbon County with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Between March 1 and June 29, the victim’s then high school teacher began grooming the victim through text messages and emails. Andre Louis Pastrana, 44, whose hometown is listed as Newark, California in court documents, began communicating daily with the 16-year-old victim using Pastrana’s personal cellphone and email at the start of March. The messages initially involved telling one another how much they missed each other and missed seeing the other at school. Pastrana would also tell the 16-year-old girl how attractive and talented she was and how he could see a life with her in the future. 보도에 따르면 미 웨스트버지니아주 캐너와 카운티 순회법원의 루이 블룸 판사는 지난 14일 웨스트버지니아주 크로스레인의 앤드루잭슨 중학교 교사로 근무했던 램지 베스앤 베어스에게 징역 2년을 선고하면서 10년의 보호 감찰과 함께 평생 성범죄자로 등록돼야 한다고 판결했다.

베어스는 2018년 12월 소셜미디어인 스냅챗을 통해 미성년자인 15세 제자에게 자신의 누드 사진을 4장 보냈다. 상반신을 노출하는 토플리스(topless) 차림이었다고 한다. 아들의 휴대폰에서 이런 사진을 발견한 부모가 경찰에 신고했다.
베어스는 2019년 12월 미성년자의 성적 모습이 담긴 사진 1건을 가지고 있었다는 혐의에 대해서도 유죄가 인정됐다. 베어스는 제자에게 보낸 첫 번째 사진은 남편에게 보내려던 것이 잘못 전송된 것이라고 법정에서 해명했다.
베어스는 2014년 ‘램지 카펜터’라는 이름으로 미스 켄터키 대회에서 수상했다.
