현대엔지니어링, 4200억원 규모 대만 화력발전소 증설공사 수주
현대엔지니어링이 3억4000만달러(한화 약 4200억원)짜리 ‘대만 다탄 복합화력발전소 증설 공사를 수주했다고 22일 밝혔다.

다탄 복합화력발전소 증설 공사는 국영전력기업인 TPC(Taiwan Power Company)가 발주한 것으로, 수도 타이베이에서 서쪽으로 약 50km 떨어진 다탄 발전소에 7번 유닛을 추가로 짓는 사업이다. 발전용량 300메가
와트(MW)급 스팀터빈발전기(STG)를 증설할 예정이다.
이번 수주로 현대엔지니어링은 대만 발전소 건설시장에 첫 발을 내딛었다. 현대엔지니어링은 이번 사업에 입찰한 일본 미쓰비시상사에서 먼저 설계·조달·시공(EPC)업체로 참여해달라는 요청을 받아 수주전에 나섰다며 "건설사와 글로벌종합상사의 협업모델을 기반으로 일궈낸 성과라는 점에서 의미가 크다"고 밝혔다.
