AI 로봇이 남녀 미팅 중개 역할을    일본의 젊은 성인들은 남편이나 아내감을 찾기 위한 방편으로 로봇을 활용하고 있는 매체를 발견했다. 최근 도쿄의 한 행사에서 사랑을 찾는 남녀들이 작은 로봇을 사이에 두고 테이블에 둘러앉았다.  일본 뉴스에 따르면, 많은 사람들이 스스로 대화를 하기에는 너무 '불안'을 느꼈기 때문에, 이 작은 드로이드들을 통해서 각각의 사람들이 자기소개를 하기 위한 메신저 역할을 했다고  이날 행사는 도쿄 미나토구의 한 호텔에서 25~39세 남녀 28명이 배우자를 희망해 참여한 것으로 알려졌다.  AI 로봇 등 기술을 개발하는 도쿄 소재 콘텐츠 혁신 프로그램(CiP) 협회가 주최했다고 일본 뉴스가 보도했다.  CiP의 타카하시 류노스케 전무이사는 일본 뉴스에서 로봇은 특히 '결혼 중매'에 관한 한 대화로 어려움을 겪을 수 있는 사람들과 상호작용하는 것을 도울 수 있다고 말했다. 황기철 콘페이퍼 에디터 큐레이터 Ki Cheol Hwang, conpaper editor, curator

Young adults in Japan have discovered a new medium for finding a husband or wife - robots. 

At a recent event in Tokyo, love-seeking men and women sat around a table with tiny bots interspersed between them. 

These tiny droids served as a messenger for each person to introduce themselves, since many said they felt 'too anxious' to conduct a conversation on their own, according to The Japan News. 

The event took place at a hotel in Tokyo's Minato Ward, where 28 men and women between the ages of 25 and 39 convened in the hopes of finding a spouse. 

Tokyo-based Contents innovation Program (CiP) Association said the robots can help people who are conversationally challenged  interact with others, especially when it comes to 'marriage hunting.' Pictured are robots used to teach Hong Kong inmates vocational skills

It was hosted by the Tokyo-based Contents innovation Program (CiP) Association, which develops AI, robotics and other tech, The Japan News reported. 

Ryunosuke Takahashi, CiP's executive director, told The Japan News that robots can help people who may be conversationally challenged interact with others, especially when it comes to 'marriage hunting.'
