하와이 빅아일랜드 화산국립공원 카모쿠나(Kamokuna) 용암 분출 광경

섭씨 1천도의 용암이 바다와 부딪혀 굳는 모습은 어디에서도 볼 수 없는 광경이다.

2016년 6월부터 시작된 용암이 흘러 만들었던 새 토양이 12월 31일에 대부분 바다로 

떨어졌고 이로 인해 큰 파도가 일어 해안 절벽도 많이 침식됐다.

이곳은 용암 하이킹으로 많은 관광객들이 찾는 곳인데 보트 투어가 일시적으로 

중단되었다가 다시 오픈됐다.

아직 용암이 카모쿠나(Kamokuna)쪽 바다로 흘러 들어가고 있으며 용암을 보기 위한 

하이킹과 라바보트 투어가 진행이다.

The moment hundreds of tonnes of molten lava spewed from a collapsed volcano and into the sea was captured by a stunned tourist on a boat just yards away. 

Kamokuna lava delta in Hawaii collapsed on December 31 but that has not stopped holidaymakers braving the choppy seas and deadly eruptions to catch a glimpse of the scenery. 

One surprised tourist captured the moment a red hot stream of 1000c lava suddenly crashed through the side of the black rock - causing an incredible hose pipe effect as it fell.
