The moment hundreds of tonnes of molten lava spewed from a collapsed volcano and into the sea was captured by a stunned tourist on a boat just yards away.
Kamokuna lava delta in Hawaii collapsed on December 31 but that has not stopped holidaymakers braving the choppy seas and deadly eruptions to catch a glimpse of the scenery.
One surprised tourist captured the moment a red hot stream of 1000c lava suddenly crashed through the side of the black rock - causing an incredible hose pipe effect as it fell.
