Japanese parents have taken to Twitter to share pictures of the random, cute, and often mind-boggling places their toddlers have fallen asleep.
Proving that children really do have the ability to doze off at the drop of a hat, the images see them taking a kip anywhere from on a carpeted floor to face-down on the kitchen table, with hilarious results.
The parents shared the photos using a hashtag that roughly translates to 'my children out of charge', or 'out of battery'.

It is unclear where the hashtag originated from, but after one parent posted a photo of their child kipping on the carpet surrounded by toys, over 500 tweets have been posted with people adding their hilarious submissions.
One girl is seen catching some much-needed shut-eye with her face in a bowl, while one tot has managed to sleep whilst lying on his tummy with his arms outstretched, grabbing onto a nearby table.
And it seems it all got a bit too much for one baby, who was apparently enjoying a stroll in the park with her parents when she dozed off in her pushchair.
One adorable photo even sees a tot taking a slumber mid-mouthful, with a half-chewed trail of spaghetti spilling out of their mouth - a photo that gained 135 likes - while another toddler miraculously appears to have fallen asleep on the toilet.

Another is seen dozing in a supermarket shopping trolley, while another has achieved the near-impossible feat of planking between a table and sofa while watching TV.

A particularly sleepy baby fell asleep in a baby carrier, while one fell asleep with her head hanging out of the open car door. Luckily, she was strapped in with her seatbelt.
Toddlers need roughly between 11 and 14 hours' sleep per day, according to guidelines.
