거래소 코인상장 절차 간소화
외국 발행 스테이블 코인 유통금지 해제
일본 금융청(FSA)이 FTX붕괴에도 불구하고 암호화폐에 대한 규제완화를 시작했다고 비트코이니스트가 28일(현지시간) 보도했다.
비트코인니스트에 따르면 일본 금융청은 암호화폐 산업의 자율화를 위해 거래소의 토큰 상장 절차를 완화할 계획이다. 이는 일본 거래소들이 외국 거래소들과의 경쟁에서 경쟁력을 갖추도록 하기 위해서다.
일본 가상 암호자산 거래소 협회(JVCEA)는 암호화폐 거래소들이 상장할 수 있는 토큰 목록(그린리스트)을 확대할 것으로 예측된다. 그린리스트에 포함되면 일본 거래소들은 자율적으로 해당 토큰을 상장할 수 있다. 일본은 거래소 협회를 통한 자율규제 방식을 채택하고 있다.
또 USDT와 같은 스테이블 코인의 거래를 허용키로 했다. 이는 2023년 시행되는 ‘자금결제법’과 연계해 관련 가이드라인을 개정한 뒤 추진된다
비트코이니스트는 일본의 차세대 암호화폐 허브가 되고자 하는 열망이 이같은 규제완화의 이유라고 설명했다.
