오만철도는 국가철도망 2단계 240km 구간에 대한 사업관리자(감리) 선정을 위한 초대장을 발송했다. 총 2,135km의 오만 국가철도망 중 부라이미에서 다히라의 경제구역까지의 구간이다.
2단계 구간은 2개 공구로 나누어지는데 2A공구는 다히라의 하피트에서 이브리까지 114km를 2B공구는 이브리에서 다히라경제구역까지 116km다. 이브리 물류지역을 국가철도망과 연결하는 지선도 예정되어 있다고 오만데일리는 보도했다.
오만레일은 지난주에 이 구간들에 대한 토지 건물 수용을 위한 조사용역을 위한 사업관리자(감리) 선정에 착수하기도 했다.
오만철도 2단계 구간은 이미 정부의 작년 칙령45에 의해 공공인프라 프로젝트로 공포된 바 있다.

Oman Rail has invited consultancy firms to bid for an Oman Rail Segment 2 contract.
Segment 2 of the 2,135km national rail network covers 240km between Buraimi and a proposed special economic zone (SEZ) in Dhahirah.
The segment will be divided into two sections.
Section 2A will extend 114km from Hafeet in Dhahirah Governorate to Ibri, and Section 2B will span 116km from Ibri to Dhahirah SEZ.
A spur line connecting the Ibri Logistics Area to the rail network is also being planned, according to Oman Daily Observer.
Oman Rail also floated a tender last week seeking consultancies to carry out inventory studies of properties and buildings which will have to be exporpriated for Section 2.
In a statement, Oman Rail said the objective of the study would be to "have a comprehensive database of all components of the properties and lands inventory of real estates in conflict with the new railway alignment including the restricted protected area along the railway line".
Segment 2 has already been declared a Public Utility Project following Oman's Royal Decree 49/2015 last month, effectively authorising the expropriation of properties in areas earmarked for this segment.
