고치를 연상케하는 창의적인 도서관 인테리어

멕시코의 아나그라마 스튜디오는 최근 레온주 주도인 몬테레이에서 아름답고 

독특한 도서관 인테리어를 완성했다.

독서의 기쁨을 만끽하기 위한 창조적인 이 디자인은 돔형태로 마치 곤충의 

고치를 연상케하는 격자모양으로 독서자들을 둘러싸고 있다.

Mexico City-based studio Anagrama has recently completed a beautifully unique library interior in Monterrey that celebrates the joys of reading a book. To create this feeling, the designers produced a dome-like structure that encloses readers in a lattice cocoon, surrounding them from head to toe in literature.

Conarte, Monterrey’s city council for culture and art, commissioned Anagrama to create the intimate reading space. Their timber construction is a clever reimagining of a bookshelf and also provides the redesigned area dual use—as a place for storage and as its own "room" within a room. The curving wood plays with perspective and depth, simulating an expansive space that feels open and airy. Coupled with calming blue walls and steps, it’s a tranquil, inviting place to get lost in a great stories.
