방탄소년단, 그래미상 놓쳤지만…K팝 역사에 ‘한 획’
그룹 방탄소년단(BTS)이 아쉽게 그래미상을 놓쳤다.
15일(한국시각) 제63회 그래미 어워즈의 사전 시상식 ‘프리미어 세리머니(GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony)’가 열렸다. 방탄소년단은 ‘팝 듀오·그룹 퍼포먼스’ 부분 후보에 올랐지만 레이디 가가·아리아나 그란데가 ‘레인 온 미’로 수상의 영광을 안았다.
방탄소년단은 지난해 8월 21일 발매한 ‘다이너마이트’로 통산 세 차례나 ‘핫 100’ 정상에 올랐던 터라 유력 후보 중 하나로 분류됐다. 방탄소년단은 앞서 ‘빌보드 뮤직 어워즈’, ‘아메리칸 뮤직 어워즈’에서 수상해 그래미상까지 받으면 ‘그랜드 슬램’을 달성할 수 있었다.
비록 수상에는 실패했지만 ‘그래미 어워즈’의 후보에 지명된 것만으로도 큰 의미가 있다는 평가가 나온다. 2012년부터 시작된 이 부문 시상에 아시아권 가수가 지명된 건 방탄소년단이 처음이었다.
