(CNN) - The postponed Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8 in 2021, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has confirmed.

연기된 도쿄 올림픽은 23일부터 2021년 7월 23일부터 8월 8일까지 열릴 예정으로 국제올림픽위원회(IOC)가 확정했다.

 

국제올림픽위원회(IOC)와 도쿄 2020 주최국인 일본 정부, 국제 장애인올림픽위원회(IOC) 정상 간 전화통화를 거쳐 21일 타결됐다.

당초 하계 올림픽은 올해 7월 24일부터 8월 8일까지 열릴 예정이었으나, 지난주 바흐와 아베 신조 일본 총리가 코로나바이러스 유행병으로 인해 올림픽이 연기되었다고 발표한 바 있다.
