   신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)이 혈액형에 따라 다른 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 연구 결과가 나왔다.

17일 펑파이 등에 따르면 남방과기대와 상하이교통대 등 8개 기관은 코로나19 발원지로 알려진 후베이성 우한시 진인탄 병원의 확진자 1775명 조사한 결과, O형은 코로나19에 감염될 가능성이 상대적으로 낮은 반면 A형은 감염 위험이 높은 것으로 분석됐다.

연구는 우한 지역에서 코로나19에 감염되지 않은 비감염군 3694명과 확진 판정을 받은 환자 1775명의 혈액형 분포를 대조하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

우한시의 정상인 3694명의 혈액형 중 A형은 전체의 32.16%, B형은 24.90%, AB형은 9.10%, O형은 33.84%였다.

반면 진인탄 병원에 입원한 코로나19 환자 1775명의 경우 A형이 37.75%, B형이 26.42%, AB형이 10.03%, O형이 25.80%였다.

코로나19 환자들의 혈액형 분포는 비감염군보다 A형의 경우 5%p 이상 더 많고, O형은 8%p 가량 낮았다.

치사율도 A형이 더 높았다. 우한 지역의 코로나19 사망자 206명의 혈액형을 조사한 결과 A형은 41%(85명)였으며 O형은 25%(52명)이었다.

연구진은 “A형인 사람은 코로나19 감염 기회를 줄이기 위해 개인 보호 강화가 필요하며, 특히 감염됐을 경우 더 많은 간호와 치료가 필요하다”고 평가했다. 그러면서 “이 혈액형과 코로나19에 관련된 가설은 향후 명확한 입증을 위해 더 많은 연구가 필요하다”고 덧붙였다.
