A couple of weeks ago, we followed the very amusing story of the Leaning Tower of Dallas. For those unfamiliar, it all started as an innocent attempt at a building implosion, but ended up becoming an internet meme, a tourism landmark, and the subject of a petition to turn it into a monument. Well, the big joke is over, as what remained of the tower has finally fallen.

몇 주 전에, 우리는 달라스의 사탑에 대한 흥미로운 영상을 올린 바 있다. 이 건물은 폭파철거 실패로 가운데 건물이 파괴되지 않고 남았다. 생소한 사람들에게는 이 모든 것이 건물 붕괴에 대한 무모한 시도로 치부되었으나, 관광명소인 인터넷에 급속히 확산됐고 사람들은 이 남은 건물을 기념물로 만들자는 청원을 했다. 하지만 이런 청원은 받아들여지지 않았고 붕괴 실패 약 2주 반 후, 굴착기 등을 동원한 콘크리트 철거 작업으로 이 탑은 3월 2일 월요일 마침내 무너졌다. 황기철 콘페이퍼 에디터 큐레이터 Ki Chul Hwang, conpaper editor, curator |

About 2 and a half weeks after the failed implosion attempt, a long reach excavator, and several excruciating days of wrecking ball nudging the concrete, the tower finally toppled over on Monday, March 2.
