There is a lot of data that is gathered by foremen throughout the length of a construction project.  These jobsite leaders are on-site every day and can be responsible for many reporting tasks, including daily reports, time sheets collection, toolbox talks, among others.  For a lot of companies, all that data gathered comes in many different forms, making it extremely difficult and time consuming to gain any real value from it.

That’s where Riskcast says it can help.  Specifically focused on trade contractors and self-performing GCs, Riskcast provides a simple, but effective, way for foremen to gather information in the field and communicate it back to the office. Riskcast then formats that data to visually highlight areas of opportunity to the Project Manager.

In the past, that data may be submitted on forms, field books, Post-it notes, or whatever else is laying around the trailer.  It would eventually make it back to the office, but by the time anyone can make real sense of it, the time to take action to gain efficiencies or realize problems has already passed by.

By using an app like Riskcast, you can gain real-time access to items like job costs, time cards, production quantities, daily logs, and workforce information. Foremen can use the app to submit their daily information right from the field without having to deal with hard copy forms that then have to be scanned or typed into a computer at a later time.

In speaking with the Riskcast team at Groundbreak 2019, they pride themselves on ease of use, which is big for field staff who don’t have time to fumble around with clunky software, as well as their ability to provide full job cost forecasting to project teams.

An enormous early win for most contractors is how much time electronic data collection can save just by reducing double entry and other redundancies. 

Adding to their ability to reduce redundancies is their integration into the Procore platform. Through the Procore integration, data gathered in Riskcast, like manpower, production quantities, and daily logs, are automatically populated into the corresponding project within Procore.
