Beauty in variety: A new photo series created by University of Wyoming student organization, Real Women, Real Bodies, is examining the beauty of the female body - no matter what shape or size
Work of art: The series features women posing nude, their un-Photoshopped figures depicted as black silhouettes against a grey background
Body confidence: The images, which are part of the group's first ad campaign, are intended to promote its positive body image message that women are beautiful inside and out
In one of the images, a woman is seen lunging forward with her arms extended outwards, the silhouette highlighting her muscular figure. Another is of a woman sitting on the floor and leaning back on her hands, displaying just a slight tummy.
Real Women, Real Bodies was founded in March by students Hannah King, Morgan Looney and Sydney Stein, who is now the president, with the aim of promoting positive body image on campus with the help of ad campaigns and guest speakers.
Real life: Each of the women in the series are students who volunteered to be photographed
Personal: Each of the photos depicts a different woman, with her own unique set of curves and angles
Spread the love: Real Women, Real Bodies was founded in March by three students, with the aim of promoting positive body image on campus with the help of ad campaigns and guest speakers
Girl power: 'Real does not imply that some bodies are fake. To us, "real" is a word of empowerment,' says the group
Black and white: Even though none of the subjects is showing any actual skin, the effect is just as strong
What you see is what you get: By not retouching or editing the photos, the group hopes to provide a contrast to the way females are typically portrayed in the media
Self-esteem: More than 30 women were asked to participate, but only 11 were comfortable posing nude
Progress: The group sees this reluctance as further proof that their message is important, and that there is still a long way to go in terms of body confidence among women
