아이슬란드 바르다붕가 화산이 분출하면서 최고 위험 수위인 적색 경계령이 발령됐다고 아이슬란드 기상관측소가 전했다.
관측소에 의하면 용암은 100m 깊이의 냉각돼 있던 분화구를 따라 상공으로 솟구쳤다. 용암 기둥은 낮게 그리고 엷게 산표면을 따라 흘러내렸다.
주민들을 위협할 정도는 아닌 것으로 확인됐다. 화산 폭발과 관련해 유럽을 운항하는 항공사에 비상이 걸렸다. 지난 2010년 아이슬란드 에르피아틀라이오쿠 화산이 폭발하면서 유럽 지역 항공운항에 큰 차질을 빚는 등 손해가 발생했다.
노르웨이 기상전문가는 화산분출로 인해 생긴 화산재 때문에 아이슬란드를 비롯해 스코틀랜드, 노르웨이, 스웨덴, 핀란드, 러시아북서부 뿐만 이나리 프랑스를 비롯해 스위스, 독일 남부, 우크라이나 서부를 포함한 동부유럽 인근 항공 운항에 심각한 타격을 받을 것이라고 분석했다.

In the beginning of the video, you see Skaftárkatlar located in Vatnajökull and you see Bárðarbunga in the background.
There are presumably signs of the craks, which vere observed by scientists yesterday. Further into the video, you see cracks with lava. It is believed that these cracks have formed during the last days, when magma intrusions moved north, and the pressure from the magma movement is so high, that it created cracks 2 kilometres above on the ground surface. 1 minute 11 seconds into the video, you see some big cracks in the ground. Páll EInarsson, professor at University of Iceland said in an interview with Fréttastofu yesterday, that these cracks are old, but the smaller once are new.
In the rest of Ómar Ragnarssons video, you see a lot of cracks in the ground, but it is not possible to say anything about these, before geologists have studied them. Source: RUV.is
