Three others - two teenage girls and a teenage boy - were injured in the shooting

The two girls both underwent surgery and are doing well; the boy was discharged from the hospital on Friday

Berhow, 16, remains in the hospital after trying unsuccessfully to kill himself

His motive for the shooting remains unclear; he was described as 'unsociable'

The two teenagers killed in a California high school shooting on Thursday have been identified.

Gracie Anne Muehlberger, 16, and Dominic Blackwell, 14, were shot and killed by gunman Nathaniel Berhow, 16, at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita.  

Mia Page Tretta was injured, as was another girl whose family have given her name only as Addison.

They are both recovering in the hospital. 

Doctors said the pair were both sitting up and doing well. 

Another boy, who was also injured, was released from the hospital on Friday morning.
