GS건설, 태국서 2천755억원 규모 플랜트 공사 수주
GS건설은 태국 업체(HMC POLYMERS CO., LTD.)와 2천755억원 규모의 공사 수주 계약을 체결했다고 10일 공시했다.
계약 금액은 GS건설의 작년 연결기준 매출액 대비 2.10%에 해당한다.
GS건설은 HMC 폴리머스에서 발주한 약 2억3천만달러 규모의 'HMC PP(폴리프로필렌)4' 프로젝트를 단독으로 수주해 이날 태국 방콕 현지에서 계약식을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

Under the deal with Thai firm HMC Polymers Co., GS E&C will build a polypropylene plant at a Map Ta Phut site in Rayong Province, Thailand. The company said it will take about 35 months to complete the polypropylene plant, which will have an annual capacity of 250,000 tons. GS E&C previously won a $185 million order from HMC Polymers in 2007 to build its polypropylene plant in the Southeast Asian country. GS E&C is the No. 4 builder in South Korea in terms of building capacity. It logged 5.1 trillion won in sales and 398 billion won in operating profit in the first half. HMC PP4는 태국 라용 주(州)에 있는 맙타풋 공단에 연간 25만t의 폴리프로필렌을 생산하는 공장을 짓는 프로젝트다.
공사 기간은 착공후 35개월가량 소요될 예정이며 GS건설 등이 설계·구매·시공은 물론 시운전까지 포함하는 턴키방식(일괄수주계약)으로 진행된다.
앞서 GS건설은 2007년 HMC 폴리머스에서 발주한 1억8천500만달러 규모의 HMC PP3 프로젝트를 수주해 2009년에 폴리프로필렌 공장을 준공한 바 있다.
이번 PP4 프로젝트는 PP3 프로젝트 바로 옆 부지에 공장을 추가하는 프로젝트다.
