토트넘과 유벤투스는 21일 밤 싱가포르 국립경기장에서 맞대결을 펼친다. 2019년 인터내셔널 챔피언스컵이다. 프리시즌이지만 자존심이 걸려있다.
손흥민은 호날두를 롤모델로 삼고 있다. 한 차례 맞대결은 있었다. 2017~2018시즌 유럽챔피언스리그(UCL) 조별리그였다. 당시 호날두는 레알 마드리드 소속이었다. 토트넘은 1차전에서 1대1로 비겼다. 2차전에서 3대1로 승리했다.

손흥민과 호날두는 엇갈렸다. 호날두는 1,2차전을 모두 뛰었다. 그러나 손흥민은 1차전에서 후반 44분 교체로 들어간 것이 전부였다. 2차전에서는 아예 나오지 못했다. 손흥민은 호날두와 3~4분 가량 뛰었을 뿐이었다.
때문에 이번 맞대결이 의미가 있다. 손흥민은 19일 열린 공개 훈련에서 날카로운 모습을 보여줬다. 손흥민 존에서 날카로운 슈팅을 선보였다. 호날두는 20일 열린 공개훈련에서 3골을 박았다.
싱가포르가 두 스타의 대결로 달아오르고 있다.

(AP) - Cydney Clanton and Jasmine Suwannapura ran away with the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational on Saturday, shooting an 11-under 59 in best-ball play for a six-stroke victory. Clanton and Suwannapura took a five-shot lead into the final round after shooting an alternate-shot 63 on Friday at Midland Country Club in the LPGA Tour's first-year team event. They finished at 27-under 253. "It's pretty awesome," Suwannapura said. "I couldn't ask for a better partner." Suwannapura won her second tour title, and Clanton her first. 고진영과 이민지는 21일(한국시간) 미국 미시간주 미들랜드의 미들랜드 컨트리클럽(파70)에서 열린 대회 최종 라운드에서 12언더파 58타를 쳤다. 최종합계 21언더파 259타로 선두 재스민 티다파 수완나뿌라(태국)-시드니 클랜턴(미국) 조에 6타 뒤진 준우승이다.
이번 대회는 팀 경기로 진행됐다. 1라운드와 3라운드는 1개의 공을 번갈아 치는 포섬, 2라운드와 4라운드는 각자 경기를 해 더 좋은 스코어를 팀 성적으로 삼는 포볼 방식이었다.
3라운드까지 9언더파로 11위에 머물렀던 고진영-이민지 조는 이날 12언더파 맹타로 역전 우승을 노렸다. 그러나 수완나뿌라-클랜턴 역시 11언더파를 몰아쳐 합계 27언더파 253타를 기록, 고진영-이민지 조의 추격을 가볍게 뿌리쳤다.

수완나뿌라는 LPGA 투어 개인 통산 2승째를 올렸다. 클랜턴은 생애 첫 우승이다.
최나연(32·SK텔레콤)과 신지은(27·한화큐셀)은 20언더파 260타로 공동 3위에 올랐다. 마지막날 9타를 줄이며 순위를 끌어올렸다.

지은희(33·한화큐셀)와 김효주(24·롯데), 전인지(25·KB금융그룹)와 리디아 고(22·뉴질랜드)는 18언더파 262타로 나란히 공동 6위에 랭크됐다.
