김세영, LPGA 마라톤 클래식 우승...시즌 2승 최종 합계 22언더파 262타 톰프슨에 2타 차 승리, 상금 선두 이정은은 단독 4위 5월 메디힐 챔피언십에 이어..통산 투어 9승 김세영(26)이 미국여자프로골프(LPGA) 투어 마라톤 클래식(총상금 175만달러) 우승을 차지했다. 김세영은 15일(한국시간) 미국 오하이오주 실베이니아의 하일랜드 메도스 골프클럽(파71·6천550야드)에서 열린 대회 마지막 날 4라운드에서 버디 7개와 보기 1개를 묶어 6언더파 65타를 기록했다. 최종 합계 22언더파 262타의 성적을 낸 김세영은 2위 렉시 톰프슨(미국)을 2타 차로 따돌리고 우승 상금 26만2천500달러(약 3억1천만원)의 주인공이 됐다. 5월 메디힐 챔피언십에 이어 시즌 2승을 달성한 김세영은 투어 통산 9승을 수확했다. 이번 우승으로 김세영은 고진영(24), 박성현(26), 브룩 헨더슨(캐나다)에 이어 올해 네 번째 2승 고지에 오른 선수가 됐다. 또 투어 통산 9승을 달성, 박세리(25승), 박인비(19승), 신지애(11승)에 이어 LPGA 투어 한국 선수 다승 순위에서 최나연과 함께 공동 4위에 올랐다. 이번 시즌 한국 선수들은 LPGA 투어 19개 대회에서 9승을 합작했다. 김세영과 박성현, 고진영이 2승씩 따냈고 이정은(23), 지은희(33), 양희영(30)이 1승씩 추가했다. 3라운드까지 톰프슨에 1타 앞선 단독 선두를 달린 김세영은 이날 홈 팬들의 응원을 등에 업은 톰프슨과 치열한 우승 경쟁이 예상됐다. 하지만 초반부터 타수 차를 벌리며 독주한 끝에 싱거운 챔피언 조 경기를 만들었다. 1번 홀(파4)에서 톰프슨이 보기, 김세영은 2번 홀(파3) 버디를 하면서 순식간에 3타 차가 됐고, 전반 9개 홀까지 김세영은 20언더파, 톰프슨은 15언더파로 격차가 벌어졌다. 김세영은 7번부터 11번 홀까지 5연속 버디를 낚으며 톰프슨을 6타 차까지 따돌리는 등 독주를 거듭했다.
