7 Women Built Their Dream Retirement Home to Live Their Last Days Together

Many people worry about becoming lonely with old age, but a group of 7 girlfriends in Guangzhou, China made a pact to live out their last days together. They decided to pull together 4 million yuan ($580,000) to turn an old 700-square-meter house into their dream retirement home.

마지막 인생을 함께 하기 위해 꿈의 집을 지은 7명의 여성들   많은 사람들이 노후에 외로움을 걱정하지만, 중국 광저우에 있는 7명의 여자친구들은 그들의 마지막 날들을 함께 살기로 약속했다. 그들은 400만 위안을 모아 700평방미터의 오래된 집을 꿈의 은퇴 주택으로 만들기로 했다. 중국 광저우 교외의 푸르른 언덕을 배경으로 한 그녀들의 아담한 3층 공동 주택은 1층에 단체 모임을 할 수 있는 충분한 공간이 있고 위층에는 개인 방이 있다. 이 현대식 주택은 정면에 조용하게 차를 마시며 창밖을 볼 수 있게 유리이 있으며 논밭을 내려다볼 수 있다. 좋은 친구는 종종 가족처럼 느낄 수 있는데, 이것은 분명 이 여성들에게 만 해당된다.  20년 간의 끈끈한 우정의 시간이 지난 후 그들은 영원히 같이 있자는 약속을 한다.  하지만 이들은 종종 말다툼을 하기 때문에 이 7명의 친구들은 논쟁을 피하기 위해 이미 각자 다른 일을 맡기로 했다. 요리부터 채소를 재배하는 것까지,그들의 공유된 가정 내에서 독특한 역할을 한다. 황기철 콘페이퍼 에디터 큐레이터 Ki Chul Hwang, conpaper editor, curator

Set in the green hills of suburban Guangzhou, their three-story communal home has ample room for group gatherings on the ground floor, while upstairs has private rooms. The modern home even features a tranquil glass tea room at the front that overlooks the local rice paddy fields.

Good friends can often feel like family, which is definitely the case for these women—after 20 years of friendship they have an unbreakable sisterly bond. But with sisters often comes bickering, which is why these 7 friends have already decided to each take up a separate skill to avoid arguments. From cooking to growing vegetables, each woman has a unique role within their shared home.
