미셸 위, NBA 전설 웨스트 아들과 약혼   11일 소셜 미디어 통해 프러포즈 사진 공개 상단 사진 설명: 미셸 위가 남자 친구 웨스트로부터 프러포즈를 받는 사진을 소셜미디어를 통해 공개했다./미셸 위 인스타그램   미국여자프로골프(LPGA) 투어에서 활약하고 있는 미셸 위(미국)가 약혼했다. 미셸 위는 11일(한국시각) 자신의 인스타그램을 통해 남자 친구 조니 웨스트가 무릎을 꿇고 프러포즈를 하고 있는 사진을 공개했다. 미셸 위는 여기에 "내 평생의 사람(My person for life)"이라는 글도 함께 올렸다.  두 사람이 약혼한 건 지난 1월 말 미셸 위가 웨스트와의 교제 사실을 인정한 지 약 한 달 반 만이다. 둘은 미국 캘리포니아주 샌프란시스코에서 약혼식을 가진 것으로 알려졌다. 미셸 위는 약혼식 현장 사진을 링크해 놓기도 했다. 미셸 위와 약혼한 웨스트는 미국프로농구(NBA)의 전설 중 한 명인 제리 웨스트의 아들이다. 제리 웨스트는 농구 명예의 전당 회원으로 1960년부터 1974년까지 LA 레이커스에서 활약했다. 1969년 챔피언 결정전 최우수선수(MVP), 1972년 올스타전 MVP, 올스타 선정 14회, 1970년 득점왕, 1972년 어시스트 1위 등의 업적을 남긴 인물이다. 그의 아들 웨스트는 현재 NBA 골든스테이트의 구단 사무국에서 일하고 있다.  미셸 위는 LPGA 투어에서 통산 5승을 거뒀고, 지난달 말 싱가포르에서 열린 HSBC 위민스 월드 챔피언십 때는 손목 부상 재발을 이유로 기권했었다.  출처 : http://news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2019/03/11/2019031101700.html

Wie, 29, and West, 30, went public with their relationship in January. West is the director of basketball operations for the Golden State Warriors, and he’s the son of basketball legend Jerry West.

Wie last played on the LPGA tour at the HSBC Women’s World Championship on Feb. 28, but she withdrew midway through her opening round with an injury to her hand, the same one she had surgery on last year.

Wie has long been one of the premier faces of women’s golf. She’s won five times on tour, including one major, the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open.
