The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has become the only one in the country to have completed the entire construction before time.

철도공단, 첫 인도 철도사업 럭나우 메트로 성공적 개통 차량·신호 등 철도시스템 분야와 품질·안전, 시험·시운전 분야 PM(사업관리) 및 감리 담당 후속사업 발판 마련 개통 계기로 인도철도건설사업 참여 적극 추진 한국철도시설공단(이사장 김상균)은 인도에서 처음으로 수행한 럭나우(Lucknow) 메트로 사업을 완료하고, 3월 8일(금) 성공적으로 개통했다고 밝혔다. 럭나우 메트로 사업은 럭나우시의 경제·사회 발전에 따라 인구가 급격히 증가하여 낙후된 대중교통 인프라를 개선하고자 총사업비 1조 833억원(9억 6천만달러)이 투입되어 럭나우 도심 22.9km 구간에 도시철도를 건설하는 사업이다. ※ 럭나우는 인도 역사상 정치·문화의 중심지인 우타르프라데쉬(Uttar Pradesh)주의 주도(州都)이다. 철도공단은 인도 럭나우 메트로공사(LMRC)가 발주한 총 421억 원(3,320만 달러)규모의 사업관리 및 감리 사업에 스페인의 Ayesa사 등과 다국적 컨소시엄을 구성하여 차량·신호 등 철도시스템 분야와 품질·안전, 시험·시운전 분야 PM(사업관리) 및 감리를 담당했다. 공단은 각 분야별 최고 기술책임자 역할을 수행하면서 럭나우 메트로 사업의 성공적 개통을 지원하고, 컨소시엄에 참여한 현지 기술진에게 선진철도기술을 전수하였으며, 이 사업 참여로 약 97억 원의 수익을 창출했다. 한편, 철도공단은 2005년 중국 철도사업 진출을 시작으로 17개국 59개 해외사업에서 약 3,000억 원을 수주하였으며, 이번 럭나우 메트로 사업의 성공적인 개통을 발판삼아 후속사업인 럭나우 메트로 2단계 기술용역 등 인도철도건설사업 참여를 적극 추진 중이다. 인도 럭나우 메트로는 럭나우시의 CCS (Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport)공항과 문쉬 풀리아(Munshi Pulia)를 남북으로 잇는다. edited by kcontents 김상균 이사장은 “우리는 민간기업과 함께 인도에서 델리 수도권 급행철도 기술용역, 럭나우 메트로 2단계 기술용역 등 후속사업 수주를 위해 노력하고 있다”며, “향후 인도를 철도공단 해외사업의 제 1 중점국가로 삼아 국내기업과 함께 인도 철도사업에 성공적으로 진출할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다. ※ 금일 17시경 개통식 사진을 업로드 예정입니다. 철도공단 |
The consistent performance of Lucknow Metro has been possible under the leadership of Kumar Keshav, MD, LMRC.
The development of Metro Rail Project in Lucknow was a difficult task, as some portion of the tracks were to be built below ground level.
TATA Projects Ltd, along with Gulermak, completed the underground section of Lucknow Metro (Charbagh to Hazratganj). The 22.878-kmlong corridor, from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport to Munshi Pulia, is the last phase of LMRC construction. This phase will increase the ease of access to the airport and will help commuters dodge the congested roads of Lucknow.
“Metro Rail Projects are key infrastructure developments that will usher us towards the dream of New India,” said Keshav on the impact of Metro Rail. He firmly believes that Mass Rapid Transit Systems are the future of transportation for our country.
It is said that winning is a habit. This comes true in the case of Keshav, who has been a gold medallist through his education at IIT. He believes in the strength of his team members and gives them an opportunity to work towards a greater good.
