The project's scope of work involves the construction of sour gas reservoirs located offshore in the Arabian Gulf, around 90 kilometres and 130 kilometres to the west of Abu Dhabi. The Hail and Ghasha project is planned to install 1 billion cubic feet a day (cf/d) additional gas capacity from sour gas reservoirs at the offshore fields.

해외건설사들, 중동 가스전 프로젝트 등 수주 공략 나서 흥국증권 김승준 아드녹(ADNOC) 가스전 개발 PQ 1월 22일까지 사우디, 10년간 천연가스 개발에 1,600억달러(180조원) 투자 아드녹(ADNOC) 가스전 개발 PQ리스트 제출 예정(현대건설, 삼성엔지니어링, GS건설) EPC업체들은 아드녹(Adnoc)이 발주하는 하일 & 가샤 가스전(Hail & Ghasha sour gas development) 프로젝트 수주를 위해 1월 22일까지 PQ(Prequalification) 서류를 제출할 예정이다. 가스전 개발은 약 100억달러(11조원)로 총 5개 패키지로 발주된다. 10억달러 이상 공사경험이 있는 EPC 업체들만을 선별하여 입찰을 진행할 계획이다. PQ 서류 제출할 국내 기업으로 현대건설,삼성엔지니어링, GS건설이 거론되며, 외국기업으로는 Larsen & Toubro(인도), Petrofac(영국), Mcdermott(미국), JGC(일본)이 있다. 가스전 개발은 2024년부터 생산할 계획으로, 현재 Becthel이 FEED(기본설계)를 진행 중이다. PKG 1번에 해당되는 6개 인공섬 간척 사업은 EPC 입찰을 개시할 준비가 되어있다. 해당 간척사업에는 현대건설이 PQ 리스트에 포함되어있는 것으로 알려졌다. 전망: 중동 가스 시설은 삼성엔지니어링, 현대건설, GS건설에 수혜 2019년에는 중동에서 큰 규모의 가스 개발 관련 프로젝트를 수행해본 국내 기업들의 수혜가 예상된다. 10억달러 규모 이상 가스전 관련 공사 수행한 국내 기업은 삼성엔지니어링(티미문, 바드라, 샤이바), 현대건설(우쓰마니아, 카란, 쿠라이스 등), GS건설(오만 LPIC NGL, UAE Ruwais 4th NGL 등)이 있다.
중동의 미래 개발 청사진은 2019년에는 규모가 큰 가스 관련 시설 입찰로 나타나고 있다. 사우디 ARAMCO는 향후 10년간 천연가스 개발에 1,600억달러(180조원)를 투자하겠다고 청사진을 밝힌 바있다. UAE ADNOC 또한 2019~23년 CAPEX 1,323억달러(150조원)를 승인하며 ADNOC 2030전략(석유 및 LNG생산 증가, 석유화학 투자)에 속도를 가했다. 사우디 마르잔 유전개발(35억달러, 상반기)과 UAE 가스전 개발(100억달러, 하반기)은 중동발 수주 모멘텀의 시작이다. 매일경제 |

The project includes a minimum of eleven offshore artificial islands to be designed and constructed. The Hail and Ghasha sour gas fields are part of the wider north-west area. Major work is being planned to create a number of artificial islands that will enable the operator to develop the sites, and, ultimately, produce and transfer gas and condensate from both fields. The gas and condensate that’s extracted from the fields will help address the rising demand for power within United Arab Emirates.
The project includes following Packages:
Package 0: Offshore infrastructure and early offshore works
Package 1: Offshore drill centres, subsea pipelines, platforms for compression facilities
EPC Packages includes:
Package 2: Ghasha offshore processing plant (GOP) and central living quarters
Package 3: Manayif utilities and offsites, pipelines and tie-ins, main control building, early works and non-process buildings (onshore)
Package 4: Manayif process plant (onshore).
