ABI, 자율자재관리용 로봇 시장 보고서 내놓아
전세계 자율이동 로봇(AMR·Autonomous Mobile Robot) 시장이 지난 2020년 8억 달러(약 9024억 원)에서 오는 2030년 490억 달러(약 55조 2720억 원) 규모로 성장할 것으로 예측됐다.
글로벌 시장 분석기업인 ABI리서치가 최근 발표한 자율이동 로봇과 자율자재관리(autonomous material handling) 시장 전망 자료에 따르면 자재관리 업무용 AMR 시장은 지난 2016년 2억 2300만 달러에서 2020년 8억 달러 규모로 대폭 성장했다.
ABI는 AMR, AGV(무인운반차) 등 자율자재관리(autonomous material handling) 시장이 지난 10년간 강한 성장세를 보이면서 2020년 74억 달러(8조 3472억 원)에서 오는 2030년 850억 달러(약95조 8800억 원) 규모로 성장할 것으로 내다봤다.
ABI는 AMR의 높은 성장세에 주목했다. ABI는 "오는 2030년 490억 달러에 달하는 광범위한 자동화(automation) 시장에서 AMR의 비중이 높아지고 있다"며 “코로나 사태가 공급망에 새로운 수요를 창출하고 있다”고 했다. ABI의 로봇 담당 수석 분석가인 라이언 휘튼은 “대형 제조기업들이 경쟁자들과 협력하면서 자신들만의 독자적인 로봇을 개발하고 있으며, 이들 기업들이 시장을 더욱 더 증명하게 될 것‘이라고 했다. 현재 시장이 분절되어 있지만 앞으로 몇몇 기업들이 주도하고 영역을 지배하기 시작할 것이란 설명이다.
ABI는 테러다인, 페치 로보틱스, 블루보틱스(BlueBotics)를 자율자재관리 관련 로봇 시장에서 주도적인 역할(마켓 리더)을 할 것으로 내다봤다. 테러다인은 AMR 전문기업인 MiR(Mobile Industrial Robots)과 중량급 AGV개발기업인 ’오토-가이드(Auto-Guide)‘를 인수했으며 5천대 이상의 AMR을 공급했다. 페치 로보틱스(Fetch Robotics)도 바짝 뒤쫒고 있는데, 엔비디아의 GPU와 정교한 센서들을 갖춘 클라우드 기반의 솔루션을 공급, 시장을 리드하고 있다는 평가다. 블루보틱스는 유럽을 대표하는 로봇 솔루션 기업으로 2500대 이상의 로봇 설치를 지원했다.
이밖에 ABI는 IAM 로보틱스, 애질록스(AGILOX), 시그리드(Seegrid), 기드온 브라더스, 베크나 로보틱스 등을 최고 혁신기업으로 선정했다.
