D.LIM architects has built ‘between azalea and silvergrass’, a rest area for tourists in hwangmae mountain county park, in south korea. the project takes the form of a crescent moon to emulate the mountain’s shape around it, allowing it to blend into the surrounding landscape seamlessly. ''철쭉과 억새 사이'
한국의 대형 건설회사인 DL이앤씨가 한국의 경남 합천 황매산군립공원에 관광객들을 위한 휴식공간인 ''철쭉과 억새 사이 '를 지었다. 이 프로젝트는 초승달 모양으로 주변의 산의 모양을 본떠서 주변 경관과 완벽하게 어우러지게 한다. 대림 건축팀은 를 한국의 만화가인 윤준환의 한국의 산들 이미지와 와 초승달 모양의 휴게소를 블렌딩시켰다.

DL이앤씨 건축팀은 방문객들의 관심을 대신 그 주변의 황야로 이끌기 위해 건물의 디자인을 지면에 낮게 유지하려고 노력했다. 또한, 이 프로젝트는 철과 유리로만 마감된 콘크리트 프레임이며, 위에서 언급한 꽃들이 점재한 해발 850m의 탐방로로 들어가는 통로 역할도 한다. 초승달 모양의 휴게소를 한국의 산으로 혼합한다.
시간이 흐를수록 확장된 풍경과 서서히 어우러져 계절에 맞게 색깔을 바꾸고 바람과 비에 눈에 띄게 된다. 건물의 여러 부분을 비워두면, 초목은 '치아가 빠진 아이의 미소'와 같이 자세히 들여다보게 된다.DL이앤씨 설계자가 언급한다.
건물 틈새에서 모습을 드러내는 진달래와 은잔디를 형상화해 '철쭉과 억새 사이''로 불린다. 한편, 봄나들이와 가을나들이 사이의 마음을 '진탕'에 비유하는 것으로도 보인다.
'우리는 건축물이 천천히 주변 자연과 혼합되기를 바랐다. 황매산은 소를 먹이기 위해 만들어진 목초지로 시작되었지만, 진달래와 은잔디는 너무나 아름다운 광경을 세웠다,'라고 스튜디오는 말한다.

D.LIM architects sought to maintain the building’s design low to the ground in an attempt to lead the visitor’s attention to the wilderness around it instead. furthermore, the project is a concrete frame finished only with iron and glass and also acts as a gateway to the trail 850m over sea level dotted with the flowers mentioned above.D.LIM architects blends crescent moon-shaped rest area into korean mountains
as time passes, the structure will slowly merge with the extended scenery, change color to match the season, and become spotted with rust from wind and rain. in leaving various sections of the building empty, the vegetation peeks through, like ‘the smile of a child with missing teeth,‘ as D.LIM architects mentions.D.LIM architects blends crescent moon-shaped rest area into korean mountains
