중국 전통 건축의 타일 지붕에서 힌트를 얻는 줄무늬 지붕은 자하 하디드 건축가가 베이징에 있는 국제 전시 센터 확장의 특징적인 모습이다.
슌이 구에 위치한 이 센터의 확장에는 전시관, 회의장, 호텔이 들어서며, 이 모든 것이 일련의 마당 주위에 배치된다
Zaha Hadid Architects의 제안은 설계 경쟁에서 우위를 점했다. 포스터+파트너스가 설계한 캐피털 국제공항에 가까운 행사장을 지원하기 위한 것이다.

A striped roofscape that takes cues from tiled roofs in traditional Chinese architecture will characterise Zaha Hadid Architects' expansion of the International Exhibition Centre in Beijing.
The extension of the centre, located in the Shunyi District, will contain exhibition halls, a conference venue and a hotel, all arranged around a string of courtyards.
Zaha Hadid Architects' proposal was the winning bid in a competition for the expansion. It is intended to support the growth of the venue, which is close to the Capital International Airport designed by Foster + Partners.

The English Football League has given the green light for Zaha Hadid Architects to build the world’s first all-timber football stadium
자하 하디드가 잉글랜드 축구 리그에 세계 최초 목재로 만들어진 축구 경기장을 건설하는 데 청신호를 켰다.
지난 주 정부는 환경을 의식한 글로스터셔의 '100% 비건' 축구 클럽인 포레스트 그린 로버스(Forest Green Robers)의 5,000석 규모의 목조 경기장 제안을 승인했다.
스카이 스포츠의 회장인 데일 빈스는 '환경적인 관점에서 볼 때, 모든 경기장의 탄소의 75%는 그들이 만든 재료에서 나온 것이다."라고 말한다
녹색 에너지 회사인 에코티시티를 소유하고 있는 '녹색 에너지 산업가' 빈스는 덧붙였다: '우리는 로마인들이 콘크리트를 발명한 이후 세계 어느 경기장보다도 탄소 배출량이 적을 것이다.'

Last week the governing body approved proposals by environmentally conscious and ‘100 per cent vegan’ Gloucestershire football club Forest Green Rovers to move into the 5,000-seat, wooden ground.
Speaking to Sky Sports, its chair Dale Vince said: ‘From an environment point of view, 75 per cent of the carbon footprint of all stadia in their entire lifetime comes from the materials they’re made from. It’s not about the energy used to run them, it’s embedded on day one.’
Vince, a ‘green energy industrialist’ who owns green energy firm Ecotricity, added: ‘We'll have the lowest carbon footprint of any stadium anywhere in the world since the Romans invented concrete.’
