380kV Hail Al Jouf OHTL

Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai) signed an EPC contract for the construction of 380kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) between Hail and Al Jouf Project.

The value of signed contract is SAR 412,283,261 (USD 109,942,202).

현대건설, 1264억원대 사우디 송전선 공사 수주

   현대건설은 지난 10일(현지 시각) 사우디 중부 전력청(SEC-COA)이 발주한 1억994만달러(한화 약 1264억원) 규모의 ‘하일(Hail) 변전소~알 주프(Al Jouf) 변전소 구간 380KV 송전선 공사’ 계약을 체결했다고 12일 밝혔다.

이 회사의 새해 첫 해외 수주다. 이는 사우디 중북부 하일에서 알 주프까지 375km 구간을 연결하는 초고압 송전선을 건설하는 사업으로, 올해 1월 착공 후 2022년 10월 완공이 목표다. 공사기간은 총 22개월이다.

이 회사는 지난 2020년 코로나19·저유가 등 어려운 해외건설 수주 시장에서 파나마 메트로 3호선 공사, 카타르 루사일 타워 공사 등을 수주하며 총 64억5462만달러의 해외 수주를 기록했다.

현대건설 관계자는 "코로나19로 인한 침체된 건설경기에도 불구하고, 사우디에서 축적된 공사 수행 노하우와 뛰어난 기술력·신뢰 기반의 네트워크 등을 발판으로 수주를 하게 됐다"며 "이번 수주는 현대건설이 사우디 건설시장을 선도하는 탑티어(Top-Tier) 건설사로 인정받은 결과이며 향후에도 지속적으로 수주를 이어갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

한편, 현대건설은 현재 사우디에서 마잔 개발 프로그램 PKG 6·12 공사 등 총 6건, 30억달러 

규모의 공사를 수행하며 사우디 정부 및 발주처로부터 뛰어난 시공력과 기술력을 인정받고 있다. 현대건설은 지난 1975년 쥬베일 산업항 공사를 시작으로 사우디에 진출한 이래 반세기동안 마덴 알루미나 제련소 건설공사를 포함해 총 156여개, 약 170억 달러 규모의 공사를 수주했다. 특히 사우디에서 송전공사 30개, 변전공사 23개 공사를 성공적으로 완공했다.

The Project has been awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The tender was submitted during October 2020. (read more)

The project involves the design and construction of two (2) 380kV OHTL to connecting the Hail BSP and Al Jouf BSP In Central- northern region of Saudi Arabia

Approximate route length of OHTL is 374.95 km. (read more)

The project involves using of 4-795 kcmil ACSR/AW CONDOR conductor per phase and two (2) OPGW along the length of the new line.

The new OHTL will be installed on latticed steel tower in vertical configuration.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor need to complete the project activities within 24 months from the date of contract award.
