오토데스크가 제조 및 건설 산업의 디지털 트윈(Digital Twin) 가속화를 지원하는 새로운 플랫폼과 협력 사례를 발표했다.
오토데스크는 먼저 건설 프로젝트의 데이터 가상화를 지원하는 새로운 플랫폼 오토데스크 ‘탠덤(Tandem)’을 공개했다. 또 로크웰 오토메이션과 제조 산업의 디지털 트윈 가속화에 협력하기로 했다.

오토데스크 ‘탠덤’, 건설 프로젝트의 모든 데이터 아우르는 디지털 허브 구축
건설 프로젝트 진행 시 건물, 구조물 설계부터 시공까지 건물 생애 주기 전반에 걸쳐 막대한 양의 데이터가 생성된다. 대다수의 경우에는 프로젝트 완료 후 데이터가 흩어지거나 사용되지 않은 채로 남아 있다. 하지만 건물 수명 가치의 80%가 운영 단계에서 결정된다는 점을 고려하면, 시공 완료 후 발주처에게 건축 정보와 데이터를 양도하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다.
오토데스크 탠덤은 건설 프로젝트에서 다양한 형식으로 발생하는 데이터를 통합, 모든 데이터를 아우르는 디지털 허브를 구축한다. 특히 디지털 세계와 현실 세계를 연결해 실시간으로 실제 설계 모델을 가상 모델에 반영하고, 이를 기반으로 에스컬레이터나 전기, 냉난방 시스템 성능 등 건물, 교량 및 구성 요소 운영에 대한 전반적인 인사이트를 제공한다.

제조 엔지니어링 워크플로우 개선, 공장 작업 효율성과 생산성 향상 주력
오토데스크는 로크웰 오토메이션과의 협력해 제조 산업의 디지털 트윈 가속화에 적극 나선다는 전략이다.
양사는 제조 프로세스와 공장 운영, 관리가 점차 복잡해지는 가운데, 협력을 통해 제조 엔지니어링 워크플로우를 개선하고 공장 작업 효율성과 생산성을 향상시키는데 주력한다는 방침이다.
오토데스크는 ‘제품 설계 및 제조 컬렉션(Product Design & Manufacturing Collection)’에서 제공하는 2D 및 3D 디지털 팩토리 레이아웃 툴과 로크웰 오토메이션이 제공하는 에뮬레이트3D(Emulate 3D)의 시뮬레이션 기능을 연동한다.
이를 통해 기존 오토데스크 ‘제품 설계 및 제조 컬렉션’ 고객들은 공장 설계 단계에서 기계 운영이나 기능에 대한 매개 변수를 사용할 수 있으며, 디지털 상에서의 제조 시연과 시뮬레이션, 가상 커미셔닝이 가능하다.
가상 커미셔닝(Virtual Commissioning, 가상 세계에서의 시범 운영)은 기업들이 제조 프로세스를 신속하게 가동, 실행하는 데 있어 중요한 요소로 자리매김하고 있다. 설계 모델과 자동화 시스템을 연동하고, 3D 캐드 모델을 활용해 디지털 트윈을 구현한다. 이를 바탕으로 프로세스 시스템을 구축하기 전에 가상 세계에서 시뮬레이션을 진행, 프로세스 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 위험 요소를 사전에 파악 및 대응하고 제조 프로세스를 간소화할 수 있다.
