삼성물산, 싱가포르 안전경영대회 6개 부문 수상
삼성물산 건설부문이 싱가포르에서 안전경영대회 6개 부문 수상을 휩쓸며 현장 안전관리 역량을 인정받았다.
삼성물산은 현지에서 공사를 진행 중인 현장들이 발주처 싱가포르 육상교통청(LTA)이 주최한 2020년 안전경영대회에서 6개 부문 수상현장으로 선정됐다며 26일 이같이 밝혔다.

77 Organisations Recognised for Workplace Safety and Health Excellence News Releases 21 Oct 2020 Annual Safety Award Convention (ASAC) New Award Category for Workplace Health 77 contractors, operators and organisations were recognised by the Land Transport Authority today for their excellent workplace safety, health and environment management practices in 2019 at the 22nd Annual Safety, Health and Environmental Award Convention (ASAC).
New Workplace Health Award 2 A new award category – Workplace Health Award – was introduced this year to recognise contractors for their holistic risk management approach. Central to this approach is the promotion of workers’ health through the implementation of the necessary infrastructure and support in accordance with Total Workplace Safety and Health (Total WSH) provisions. Such practices are in line with Singapore’s WSH 2028 vision which places equal emphasis on both workplace safety and workforce health. 3 Samsung C & T and China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd won the inaugural Workplace Health Award for demonstrating excellence in implementing health programmes. Under LTA Contract T307, Samsung C & T organised roadshows to promote good health management among workers. They also focused on improving their workers’ health and wellbeing by issuing Personal Kit Bags containing items such as reusable face masks, personal utensils, thermometers, and mosquito repellent and providing IT facilities to allow workers to communicate with their family abroad. Their efforts resulted in creating a more motivated, healthy and safe workforce which enabled them to overcome construction challenges and to achieve project milestones safely and smoothly. LTA는 매년 공사가 진행 중인 인프라 현장을 대상으로 안전경영대회를 실시해왔으며 삼성물산은 지하철 T307·T313과 지하도로 N106 공사를 올해 수상현장으로 배출하게 됐다.

T307 현장은 이번에 안전 최우수상, 무재해 현장상, 사업장 보건상 등 3개 부문에서 수상현장으로 이름을 올렸다. 코로나19 관련 근로자 안전을 위해 개인별 건강관리 키트를 제공하고 현장 진출입 시 IT 기술을 활용한 자동화 온도체크 시스템을 운영하며 올해 처음 도입된 사업장 보건상을 받게 됐다.
이밖에 T313 현장이 2개 부문에서, N106 지하도로 현장이 안전혁신 부문에서 각각 수상의 성과를 거뒀다.
삼성물산측은 "국내외에서 안전이 현장의 문화로 자연스럽게 인식되도록 관리자 중심의 일방향 지시가 아닌 근로자 모두가 참여하는 소통형 안전문화를 도입했다"며 "근로자에게 사전에 작업 관련 안전정보를 전달할 수 있는 SMS 시스템을 구축하고 자사 블로그에 해당 내용 확인이 가능한 페이지를 신규 개설하는 등 근로자가 쉽게 안전정보를 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 구축했고 싱가포르와 홍콩에서도 근로자 스스로 작업 준비 상태와 위험여부를 판단해 당일 작업진행 여부를 결정할 수 있는 LMRA 프로그램을 운영 중"이라고 설명했다.
