MiR, 자율모바일 로봇 ‘MiR250’ 출시

협소한 공간에서도 안전하고 빠르고 민첩한 동작으로 작업

    덴마크 자율모바일 로봇(AMR) 업체인 'MiR(Mobile Industrial Robots)'이 자율모바일 협동로봇인 ‘MiR250’을 출시했다고 '모던 매터리얼스 핸들링’ 등 매체들이 전했다.

MiR250은 최고 이동속도는 7.2km이며 최대 250kg의 중량물을 나를 수 있다. 다른 모바일 로봇보다 낮고 좁기 때문에 작은 문이나 엘리베이터, 테이블 아래 등 협소한 공간에서도 활동이 가능하다. 즉, 공간이 부족한 곳에서도 안전하고 빠르고 민첩한 동작으로 작업한다.

이 로봇의 인공 지능은 온보드 카메라로 사람과 주변 물체를 식별함으로써 추가적인 운영상황 및 통찰력을 제공한다. 예를 들어 로봇이 운반하려는 대상의 목적지가 왼쪽에서 차단되면 로봇은 이 상황을 인식해 오른쪽으로 전달함으로써 업무가 중단되는 상황을 최소화한다.

이번에 출시된 로봇은 MiR사의 가장 최신 제품이다. 이 회사의 기존 모바일 로봇인 MiR100, MiR200, MiR500, MiR1000 등은 이미 도요타·포드·레이시언 등의 회사에 납품돼 50여 개 이상의 국가에서 활약하고 있다. 이 최신 로봇의 배터리는 24V대신 48V 아키텍쳐 대용량 모델에 기반해 실행시간이 길며 충전 속도도 두 배다. 또한 27시간 동안 작동하고 배터리도 2분 안에 교체 가능해 가동중지 시간도 줄일 수 있다.

MiR은 로봇의 수명을 연장하고 산업 환경에서 효과적으로 사용될 수 있도록 MiR250의 여러 표준 구성요소를 업데이트해왔다. MiR CEO인 ‘토마스 비스티(Thomas Visti)’는 “이 로봇은 견고함을 요구하는 산업환경을 충분히 견딜 수 있도록 제작된 몇 안 되는 물류 자동화 로봇이다”라고 강조했다.

한편, 모바일 로봇용 장비 전문회사인 로보틱 이큅먼트(ROEQ)는 이번에 출시된 MiR250용 부속기기를 출시했다. 이번에 출시되는 부속장치는 총 3개로 ‘쉘프캐리어 익스텐디드(Shelf Carrier Extended)’, ‘어댑터250(Adapter250)’, ‘쉘프카트300(Shelf-Cart300)’ 등이다
