덴마크, 배터리 구동 열차 시험

   덴마크는 내년에 2개의 철도 노선에서 배터리 트레인을 출시할 계획이라고 덴마크 교통부(Department of Transport and Housing)가 발표했다.

베니 엥겔 브레흐트 교통부 장관은 코펜하겐 유틀랜드에 있는 지방 당국과 두개의 다른 철도 노선에서 배터리 구동 열차를 시험하기로 합의했다.

Battery trains are currently being tested in Austria and Germany. In this development, the governing bodies of Copenhagen, Zealand and Central Jutland reached an agreement with the Danish Minister of Transport Benny Engelbrecht to allow testing in their districts. From the end of next year, battery trains will operate on the line from Helsingør to Hillerød in North Zealand, as well as on the Lemvig line in northern West Jutland. Prior to this agreement, the ministry conducted an analysis of the operations of battery trains in collaboration with DSB and Movia in North West Zealand. They concluded that the line from Holbæk to Nykøbing Sjælland was appropriate for battery trains. This means that it would be feasible to replace the existing diesel trains with battery trains at the end of their lifespan, in approximately 2025. 혁신적이고 환경 친화적인 열차는 2020년 말부터 2021년 초에 헬싱외르(Helsingør)와 힐레뢰드(Hillerød) 구간과 West Jutland의 헴비(Lemvig) 노선 간에 운행된다.

엥겔 브레흐트 장관은 배터리 트레인이 기후에 유리한 것으로 보고 소규모 철도가 디젤에서 전력으로 전환하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다고 밝혔다. 그는 배터리 트레인은 덴마크 철도 운송의 미래의 핵심 부분이 될 수 있다고 강조했다.

그는 이어 “배터리 열차는 덴마크의 CO2 배출량을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 더나은 운송 시스템을 위한 기반을 만드는 데 도움을 준다”고 말했다.

덴마크 당국은 배터리 트레인 시험에 금융 자원을 투자하지 않을 것이며, 이는 계약 업체에게 매일 운행하는 열차를 보여줄 기회를 제공할 것이다. 현재 열차는 오스트리아의 승객과 함께 시험 사용 중이며  독일에서도 시험 중이다.

덴마크 당국은 2020년 중반부터 덴마크에서 배터리로 구동되는 열차를 매일 운행 할 것으로 예상하고 있다.
