볼보 스타트업 테라퓨지아, 날으는 자동차 2019년 상용화한다
볼보 계열 스타트업인 미 실리콘 밸리 테라퓨지아(Terrafugia)가 날으는 자동차를
2019년에 상용화할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
테라퓨지아(Terrafugia)는 볼보를 소유하고 있는 중국의 지리그룹이 작년에 인수한 회사다.
테라퓨지아가 선보인 날으는 자동차는 하이브리드 전기자동차와 프로펠러 구동 항공기가
결합된 것으로 외형은 자동차보다는 비행기에 가깝다.
하지만 미 연방항공국(FAA)와 도로교통안전국(NHTSA)의 인증을 모두 받았다고 회사는 측은 밝혔다.
이 플라잉 카는 시속 100km의 속도로 3km 고도까지 유지할 수 있으며 최대 비행거리는 644km이다.
