In case you missed it, take a look at the inauguration ceremony and fire works display showing magnificent views of the Dubai Water Canal, officially opened last week.

Officials have said that the canal is expected to top one million riders per annum by 2020, while the number of riders is set to jump to four million by 2030.

The project also includes six kilometres of walkway, a three-kilometre-long jogging track and 12km of cycling tracks.
