중국 국가발전개혁위원회는 수도 베이징의 두 번째 공항 건설 프로젝트에 대한 타당성 조사 보고서를 승인함과 동시에 799억8000만 위안(약 14조1934억원)에 달하는 투자금을 지원할 것이라고 발표했다. 이는 총 공사기간 10년 중 5년간 사용될 건설비로 투자자본 비율 50%에 달하는 금액이다.   신규 건설될 베이징 제2공항은 2025년 완공될 예정이다. 연간 7200만명의 승객을 수용할 수 있는 규모로 화물 처리량은 200만t, 항공기 이착륙 수는 62만회에 달할 것으로 전망된다. 3개의 수직 활주로와 1개의 수평 활주로를 포함, 총 4개의 활주로는 길이 3400~3800m, 폭 45~60m로 설계됐다.   또한 2개의 출항관제 타워를 포함하고 있는 항공교통관제타워는 총 6만7000㎡ 규모로 건설되어 모니터링 및 탐색, 통신, 기상 등의 시설과 장비가 들어서게 된다. 또한 3만6000㎡의 우주통제센터와 3만㎡의 교육훈련 시설 등이 건설될 예정이다 글로벌이코노믹 배성식 기자

By Clement Tan China’s top economic planning agency approved plans for a second international airport in Beijing at a cost of 80 billion yuan ($12.9 billion), aiming to ease congestion at the capital city’s main hub.   A civil aviation development fund will provide 18 billion yuan, while state-owned Capital Airports Holding Co. will contribute 6 billion yuan and private funding will be “aggressively” pursued, the National Development and Reform Commission said in a statement Monday.   China’s growing middle class is fueling a travel boom in the world’s second-largest economy. Air-travel demand in Asia is projected to expand 5.7 percent in the four years through 2017, the second-fastest pace in the world, with routes within or connected to China being the single largest driver, according to an International Air Transport Association study last year.   The new airport will be built in the south of the city, the agency said. Beijing Capital International Airport, which served 83.7 million passengers in 2013, was the busiest in the world last year after Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, according to Airports Council International. bloomberg
