모로코가 최근 2개의 태양광발전 건설을 위해 세계은행으로부터 5억1900만 불의 차관을 제공 받았다고 세계은행이 밝혔다.   현재 쿠아르자자테 남부지역에 2011년에 착수된 1단계160MW 태양광발전프로젝트가 사우디 ACWA Power사에 의해 건설 중에 있으며  이번에 두번째로 350MW 태양광 발전시설이 건설될 예정으로 총 500MW까지 증설될 예정이다.   *태양열에너지 활용에는 3가지가 있는데 태양열 태양광 그리고 태양열 하이브리드가 있다. 태양열 하이브리드에는 3가지 기술이 있는 1)Parbolic troughs 2)Power Tower 3)Compact Linear fresnel reflectors 중 하나 또는  그 이상이 적용될 수 있다.   이번 모로코 350MW  태양광 발전프로젝트에는 태양열 하이브리드 기술 중 Parbolic troughs 와Power Tower 건설이 포함되어 있다.   현재 아래와 같은 200MW와 100MW의 태양광발전프로젝트의 입찰이 진행되고 있으며 시공자가 조만간 결정될 예정으로 있다.   •a 200 MW CSP parabolic trough project (NOOR II) •a 100 MW CSP tower project and (NOOR III). 모로코 태양광에너지공사는 200MW프로젝트에 스페인 등 3개 컨소시엄이 경합 중이라고 밝혔다.   100MW 프로젝트에는 200MW프로젝트 참여 컨소시엄을 3곳을 포함해 프랑스 회사 등 총 4개의 컨소시엄이 PQ를 통과한 바 있다.   모로코는 발전 시설 확충이 절실한 상황으로 현재 스페인으로 부터 전기를 수입하고 있으며 매년 7%의 전기요금 인상을 요구받고 있는 실정이다.   세계은행 소식통은 2개의 태양광발전 프로젝트 공사비가 21억불이 소요될 것으로 로이터에 전달한 것으로 알려졌다.   세계은행에서 조달되는 5억1900백만불 중 4억 불은 직접 제공되며 나머지 1억1900만 불은 청정기술기금(CTF)에서 충당될 예정이다.   모로코는 앞으로 2020년까지 5개 지역에 총 20GW의 태양광발전소단지를 단계적으로 설립할 계획으로 있다.   모로코는 일사량이 풍부하고 빛의 강도가 커 광전효율이 높기 때문에 태양광 발전 유망지역으로 꼽히고 있다. Morocco gets $519 million World Bank

(Reuters) - Morocco has secured a $519 million loan from the World Bank to partly finance two solar power plants with a combined capacity of up to 350 megawatts (MW), the second phase of the 500 MW Ouarzazate project, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday.   Results of tenders for construction of the two plants near the southern city of Ouarzazate, one of at least 200 MW and the other of at least 100 MW, are expected in the next few days, sources close to the deal said.   Moroccan Solar Energy Agency Masen said consortiums led by Spain's Abengoa , GDF's International Power and ACWA Power of Saudi Arabia had been pre-selected for the 200 MW (Noor II) tender.   The three groups are also pre-qualified for the 100 MW (Noor III) tender, along with another consortium led by Electricite de France .   Morocco is spending heavily to subsidize power production. It currently imports power from Spain, with demand growing by around 7 percent year.   Banking sources have told Reuters the cost to build the two plants is estimated at 1.7 billion euros ($2.1 billion).   The World Bank is providing $400 million directly, while its Clean Technology Fund (CTF) will grant $119 million.   German state-owned bank KFW [KFW.UL] would be the largest lender for the two plants as it has granted Morocco 654 million euros ($824 million). The African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Commission and European Investment Bank are financing the remaining amount.   The authority has chosen parabolic mirror technology for the 200 MW concentrated solar plant at an estimated cost of 1 billion euros, while the 100 MW plant, expected to cost 700 million euros, will be built as a solar power tower.   Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power is already building the first 160 MW plant in the Ouarzazate area under a government initiative to produce 2 gigawatts of solar power by 2020, which is equivalent to about 38 percent of Morocco's current installed generation capacity.
