줄라, 탁구 훈련 로봇 킥스타터 통해 런칭

     탁구는 2인 혹은 4인용 게임이지만 혼자 연습해야 한다면 로봇이 파트너가 되어줄 수 있다.

'뉴아틀라스'는 탁구 서버 역할을 할 수 있는 줄라(Joola)의 탁구 연습 로봇을 소개했다. 이 회사의 '인피니티 스마트 탁구 트레이닝 로봇(Infinity Smart Table Tennis Training Robot)'은 비교적 저렴한 비용으로 일부 고급 로봇 트레이너 기능을 제공한다

줄라와 아이퐁(iPong)이 제휴해 현재 개발 막바지 단계에 있으며 최근 킥스타터에 출시되었다.

Joola launches versatile, app-controlled ping pong training robot Paul Ridden August 1st, 2019 Ping pong is a two (or four) player game, but if you need to practice alone then a robot server can help. Though basic cheap models are available, more advanced features can come with a pretty high price tag. Joola says that its Infinity Smart Table Tennis Training Robot boasts advanced features for a fraction of the cost of high end robot trainers. The result of a partnership between Joola and iPong, and five years in the making, the Infinity Smart Table Tennis Training Robot is currently in the final stages of development and has been launched on Kickstarter to fund production. The robotic ping pong training partner can produce topspin, underpin, side spin or no spin, and can fire out pin pong balls at between 30 and 100 balls per minute. Joola says that it can pretty much emulate any shot by moving 150 degrees side-to-side while firing balls up by 50 degrees or down by 30 degrees. 로봇 탁구 훈련 파트너는 톱스핀, 언더핀, 사이드 스핀 또는 스핀을 생성할 수 있으며 1분에 30~100개의 공을 발사할 수 있다. 공은 위로 50도, 아래로 30도 각도로 발사되고 좌우로는 150도 범위에서 어떤 샷이든 모방할 수 있다. 사용자는 스핀, 주파수, 속도 및 궤도 설정에 대한 사용자 정의 컨트롤이 가능하다.

또한 블루투스 페어링 스마트폰에서 실행되는 모바일 앱에서는 미리 프로그램된 훈련 세션을 선택할 수 있다. 줄라는 세계 정상급 선수와 코치의 무료 정기 훈련 프로그램을 추가할 계획이다.

인피니티 로봇에는 캐치 넷과 논스톱 동작을 위해 볼을 계속 공급하는 재활용 기능이 제공된다. 패키지에 포함되는 기본 훈련 공은 100개이다.

줄라의 새로운 탁구 훈련 로봇은 2000달러(243만원) 가격대의 버터플라이(Butterfly)나 뉴지(Newgy)와 같은 고급 사양 모델과 비슷한 기능을 갖추고 있지만 킥스타터에서는 소비자가의 50%인 499달러(약 60만원)에 구매할 수 있다. 계획대로 된다면 2020년 12월에 출하될 예정이다.
