Benjamin Highfield, executive vice president of HKA, the new name for the construction claims group of Hill International, gives his insight on the current state of oil prices and how this is likely to affect the GCC construction industry in the long-term.
In an interview with Construction Week, Highfield explained that he expects oil prices to continue to slump as GCC governments feel the brunt of budget cuts and deficits. Construction will continue to thrive, however, despite the glum outlook, with the UAE experiencing a "building boom" ahead of Expo 2020.
