About three years after construction began, lights appear to be turned on inside the new spaceship Apple Campus 2. As usual new drone videos have been put out showing the company’s progress. In one video you can see lights on the outside of the ring-shaped building. The video also points out that there are fewer construction cranes on-site, suggesting that the construction side is about to conclude and will soon shift to the electrical and landscape side of things.

Another addition appears to be the foundation for the water feature located in the center of the campus. Furthermore, the surrounding garden still remains untouched, although there in now an outline for the pond and it’s outlying boulders/greenery. This video shows one of the seven campus cafe locations on the outside of the spaceship-like building.

A second drone video appears to show off a better look at the underground auditorium. Presumably this is where Apple plans to debut all of its future products and services. Here you can see that the roof of the main building is estimated to be 40 percent complete. This includes mounting hundreds if not thousands of solar panels. Fuel cells, generators, and more are pictured lined up outside the very large parking garages.

The spaceship campus is expected to have 2.8 million sq ft of office space, a 176-acre campus, separate on-site R&D (research and development) facilities, a 100,000 sq ft. fitness center for employees, an underground 1000-seat “Apple Theater” auditorium, and will run on 100% renewable energy. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016 and employees are expected to move in early 2017.
