South Wales Metro Bid Process Launched :Transport for Wales has launched the South Wales Metro procurement process and is seeking bids to design and construct the key phase of the integrated transport project, starting with electrification of the core Valley Lines. The Metro project is intended to provide better trains, faster buses and light rail or tram services in Cardiff and the valleys.

The deadline for bids is 16 September 2016.
