Five hundred hours of flight, 25,000 miles and NO fuel: Solar Impulse finally completes historic 17 month round-the-world trip
- Solar Impulse 2 touched down in Abu Dhabi at 4:05am local time this morning
- First took off from Abu Dhabi on March 9 2015, and has completed about 24,500 miles and some 500 hours of flying
- Swiss explorers Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg took turns piloting the solar-powered aircraft
- The plane has a wingspan larger than a Boeing 747 and weighs only as much as a family car
솔라 임펄스2가 무연료로 세계일주를 성공적으로 마치고 현지시간으로 오늘 새벽 4시 5분에 아부다비에 도착했다.
작년 3월 9일 아부다비를 첫 출발해서 24,500마일 39,200km 약 500시간의 비행을 무사히 마쳤으며
스위스 조종사 베르트랑 피카르와 안드레 보쉬버그가 교대로 조종했다.
솔라 임펄스는 날개 길이가 보잉747보다 크지만 무게는 고작 패밀리카 정도일 뿐이다.,

A ground-breaking plane has defied expectations by travelling 25,000 miles (40,200km) around the world without a single drop of fuel.
The solar-powered aircraft, Solar Impulse 2, successfully completed its flight today, returning to Abu Dhabi after an epic 17-month journey.
With a wingspan larger than a Boeing 747, the ground-breaking craft touched down in the United Arab Emirates capital at 4:05am local time.
