The new St. Regis Hotel, located on Palm Jumeirah, is set to feature a 360-degree infinity pool on its 50th floor.

Situated 700ft above ground level, the pool will border all four sides of the hotel, Arabian Business reported.

The hotel, which will be located within the 52-storey Palm Tower building, is set to open in 2018.

The upcoming property, which is a project between Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Nakheel, will feature 289 rooms and suites - as well as 504 luxury apartments.

The floors above the infinity pool, the 51st and 52nd, will boast a restaurant and public rooftop viewing deck.

Palm Tower will be connected to Nakheel Mall which is scheduled to open during 2016.

Nakheel chairman, Ali Rashid Lootah, said: “Palm Jumeirah is a global destination offering the ultimate in luxury living and leisure. Our partnership with Starwood to open a St. Regis on the Palm reinforces what the island is all about: unrivalled, world-class facilities that set new standards for residents and tourists. We are delighted to have partnered with St Regis to represent our flagship hotel, and one of the most sought-after establishments in the region.”

Neil George, senior vice president, acquisitions and development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East and Africa, said: “We are pleased to be entering into this partnership with Nakheel for this iconic development which will further consolidate Starwood’s strong growth momentum in Dubai, where we continue to see strong demand for high-end hotel accommodations.”
