계룡건설이 아시아개발은행(ADB) 재원의 방글라데시 정부 발주공사를 수주했다. 계룡건설은 지난 15일 방글라데시 도로건설부에서 발주한 한화 1080억원 상당의 ‘SASEC Road Connectivity Projeact(WP-01공구) 공사’의 계약을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다. 이 공사는 방글라데시 다카 북서부 지역의 Vogra Bazar Intersection에서 Kaliakoir Bypass Intersection까지 총길이 18.9km의 도로 보수와 개선, 확초장 및 유지보수 사업으로 다음달 착공 예정이며 공사 기간은 4년이다. 계룡건설은 50% 지분으로 방글라데시 현지업체인 SPECTRA와 함께 입찰에 참여해 공사를 수주했다. 계룡건설은 현재 러시아 아바롭스크 리슈빌 아파트사업 1차와 네팔 UT-1 수력발전 프로젝트 공사 등 개발사업 분야 해외공사를 진행하고 있으며 지난해부터 인도네시아와 필리핀 등지의 도로공사를 잇따라 수주하며 해외 영역을 확대해나가고 있다. 계룡건설 관계자는 “이번 공사 수주로 다양한 재원처별 입찰 노하우를 터득하게 돼 향후 발주 사업에도 경쟁력을 확보하는 계기가 됐다”고 말했다. 대전CBS 신석우 기자 |

3 contracts worth Tk 2,008cr signed

The government yesterday signed three separate contracts with three joint venture companies to upgrade the 60-kilometre Joydevpur-Chandra-Tangail road into a four-lane one and add a separate lane for slow-moving vehicles at a cost of Tk 2,008 crore.
A contract will be signed soon with another company for the expansion of the remaining 10 kilometres (km) from Tangail to Elenga, said Roads and Highways Department (RHD) officials.
RHD Chief Engineer Feroz Iqbal and representatives of the joint ventures signed the contracts at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in presence of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and Bridges Division Secretary MAN Siddique.
Kyeryong (Korean)-Spectra's (Bangladesh) Tk 704.31 crore contract is for the 18km from Vogra to Kaliakoir bypass, Abdul Monem Ltd (Bangladesh)-HCM's (Malaysian) Tk 645.17 crore contract is for the 19km from Kaliakoir bypass to Dullamari while SAMWHAN (Korean)-Mir Akhter's (Bangladesh) Tk 658.25 crore contract was for the 22km from Dullamari to Tangail.
In addition, Kyeryong-Spectra will get Tk 11 crore, Abdul Monem-HCM Tk 10 crore and SAMWHAN-Mir Akhter Tk 19 crore for maintenance for four years, says the documents.
Earlier, the government took up plans to spend Tk 3,066.80 crore to upgrade the road, construct RHD headquarters and purchase some equipment.
The government is providing around Tk 1,200 crore while taking the rest from Asian Development Bank, OPEC Fund for International Development and Abu Dhabi Fund as loans.
Five flyovers, 26 bridges and 60 culverts will be constructed on the road under the four-lane initiative, a part of the South Asia Sub-Regional Economic Cooperation road connectivity project involving India, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka. RHD will acquire a total 35,433 acres of land in Gazipur and Tangail, says the documents.
