일본 미쓰비시(三菱) 중공업ㆍ미쓰비시(三菱) 상사ㆍ히타치(日立) 제작소ㆍ킨키(近畿) 차량과 프랑스의 탈레스 사의 5개 연합은 2월 20일, 카타르 수도 도하에서 계획하고 있는 지하철시스템(도하 메트로)의 수주를 카타르 철도(QRC)에서 따냈다고 발표하였다. 도하 메트로는 레드라인ㆍ그린라인ㆍ골드라인의 3개 노선으로 구성되는 총 노선연장이 86kmㆍ32개 역의 철도시스템이다. 이 가운데 52km가 지하구간으로 2014년 4월에 개항한 새 도하 국제 공항과 구 시가지, 고층빌딩이 들어 있는 웨스트베이 지구, 르 세일지구 등 시내 주요부를 연결하고 있다. 완성은 2019년 10월 예정이며, 도시 교통시스템으로써 "세계 최대규모의 프로젝트"가 된다. 5개 연합은 이번 차량 및 신호설비, 수배전설비, 통신설비, 승강장 안전문, 궤도공사, 터널 환기설비, 검수설비, 차량기지 건설 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 전자동 무인운전의 철도시스템을 일괄 수주하였다. 완성 후에는 최장 20년에 걸친 유지보수 업무도 포함될 전망이다. 미쓰비시 중공업이 5개 연합의 지도자로서 프로젝트 관리와 시스템 인테그레이션을 다루며, 히타치도 프로젝트 매니지먼트의 일부를 다룬다. 각 설비는 수배전 설비와 승강장 출입문, 궤도공사, 터널 환기설비 등을 미츠비시 중공업이 담당한다. 궤도 및 전차선 등 인프라의 안전성을 체크하는 종합 검측차와 일부 유지보수설비는 히타치가 공급한다. 차량은 미쓰비시 상사와 긴키 차량이 225량(75편성)을 공급한다. 탈레스는 무선방식의 열차제어장치(CBTC)를 이용한 신호시스템과 통신보안시스템 종합운항 관리센터, 자동요금 수수시스템을 담당한다. 5개 연합에 따르면 도하에서는 인구와 자동차의 급격한 증가로 교통체증이 심각하고 카타르는 공공 교통기관의 정비 등을 내세운 개발기본계획 "카타르 내셔널비전 2030"을 책정하고 있다. 또 2022년에는 미국에서 FIFA월드컵이 개최되므로 도하 메트로는 월드컵 경기장 접근 교통기관으로서도 중요한 역할을 담당하는 것이 기대되고 있다고 한다. 5개 연합은 이번 수주를 계기로 "중동 시장에서 수주확대를 위해 지역의 새로운 발전 및 환경 부하경감에 기여하고자 한다"라고 하고 있다 레일뉴스 최경수 기자 |
By Satish Kanady DOHA: A five-member consortium consisting of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Corporation, Hitachi Ltd, The Kinki Sharyo Co and Thales received a Letter of Conditional Acceptance from the Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) for a systems package for the Doha Metro, on Friday. The newly accepted package calls for turnkey construction of a fully automated driverless metro system. Included are 75 sets of three-car trains, platform screen doors, tracks, a railway yard, and systems for signalling, power distribution, telecommunications and tunnel ventilation. The package is also expected to include maximum 20-year maintenance services for the metro system after its completion, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the leader of the consortium, announced in Japan. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will supply the power distribution system, platform screen doors, tracks and tunnel ventilation work, and will also undertake overall project management and system integration. Mitsubishi Corporation and Kinki Sharyo will jointly provide the railway cars. Thales will supply the advanced Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling, telecommunications and security, integrated operational control centre and automatic fare collection systems. Hitachi will perform some project management duties and also handle facilities maintenance, including the supply of special maintenance vehicles that comprehensively inspect the safety of infrastructure such as railway tracks and electric train lines. “The Doha Metro ongoing works are being done according to our timeline that we set at the beginning of the project,” Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Japanese corporate website quoted Qatar Rail’s CEO Saad Ahmed Al Muhannadi as saying. “In 2013 and 2014, we signed many agreements that reached a remarkable value promising to deliver the best standards of metro railway in the near future. Today, with the five-member Japan consortium led by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, we look forward to add more value to our project knowing the international expertise of the Japanese fellows and provide Doha with a fully secure and automated driverless metro system.” The Doha Metro will run through the city of Doha and will consist of four lines in two phases — Red, Green, Gold and Blue — covering a total distance of 241km with 106 stations, of which 123km will be constructed underground. The new metro system will connect the main areas of Doha, including the Hamad International Airport, the Old City, and newly developing inner city areas such as West Bay and Lusail. Phase 1 of the network will be launched in 2019. After submitting its bid in March 2014, the consortium underwent 11 months of detailed negotiations. The Letter of Conditional acceptance was received after convincingly demonstrating to the client the consortium’s high technical capabilities and robust track record in the construction of metro systems, the consortium leader said.
