이란 혁명수비대, 한국선박 나포…청해부대 긴급 출동

      한국 국적 유조선 `한국케미`가 걸프 해역서 환경오염을 이유로 이란 혁명수비대에 나포됐다.

국방부는 상선 억류 직후 해군 청해부대가 호르무즈해협 인근으로 긴급 출동했다고 4일 밝혔다.

청해부대 최영함은 현재 오만의 무스카트항 남쪽 해역에서 작전을 수행하다 호르무즈해협 인근으로 이동 중이다. 5일 오전 작전 해상에 도착할 예정으로 알려졌다.

외교부도 "외교부와 주이란대사관이 선원 안전을 확인하고 선박 조기 억류 해제를 요청중"이라고 밝혔다.

외교부 당국자는 해당 한국 국적 선박은 호르무즈 해협의 오만 인근 해역에서 항해 중 이란 당국의 조사 요청에 따라 이란 해역으로 이동 중인 것으로 확인했다고 전했다.

해당 선박에는 한국인 선원 5명 등 모두 20명이 승선했다고 외교부는 설명했다.

이란 반관영 파르스 통신은 이에 앞서 4일(현지시간) "혁명수비대가 걸프해역에서 한국 선박을 나포해 항구로 이동시켰다"며 "이 유조선에는 한국 국기가 달려 있었고 기름 오염과 환경 위험을 이유로 나포됐다"고 보도했다.

반관영 타스님 뉴스는 나포된 선원이 한국·인도네시아·베트남·미얀마 국적이라고 보도했다. 이들은 이란 남부 항구 도시인 반다르아바스에 구금됐다고 덧붙였다.
