국제 차이콥스키 콩쿠르는 1958년부터 매년 개최해오고 있다.  올해는 위대한 러시아 작곡가 탄생 175주년을 맞았다. 이번 대회에는 45개국 623명이 신청했다.  올해 그랑프리는 성악부문의 몽골 출신 'GANBAATAR ARIUNBAATAR'가 수상했으며 상금으로 10만불을 받았다.  올해 27세의 그는 2011년 24회 글린카 성악콩쿨에서 베스트 바리톤상과 함께 1위를 한 바 있으며 그외 각종 대회에서 여러 차례 우승 등 발군의 실력을 보여왔다. 한국인으로서는 바이올린 부문에선 독일 국적으로 출전한 강주미 4위, 김 봄소리가 5위, 첼리스트 강승민이 5위에 올랐다. 남자 성악 부문에서 3위를 차지한 바리톤 유한승 씨가 입상했다. sputniknews.com Grand Prix of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition has been announced The winner of the Grand Prix in the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition is Ganbaatar Ariunbaatar (Mongolia).
