벨기에의 베식스(BESIX)가 두바이의 신다가(Shindagha) 교량을 수주했다.

수주금액은 1억 7백만달러

이 교량은 13억7천만불 규모의 신다가 도로프로젝트의 일부다.

In a statement, the company said it had been appointed as the project's infrastructure contractor.

The bridge is part of the ongoing $1.37bn (AED5.1bn) Shindagha Corridor project, and features an architectural arch that has been designed based on the mathematical symbol for infinity.

The top of the infinity arch rises for 42m, with the bridge’s overall construction scheme expected to use 2,177t (2,400 tons) of steel.

Commenting on the contract, Pierre Sironval, managing director of Six Construct, said: “It is truly an honour for us to be a part of the Shindagha Corridor Project, as Shindagha is one of the oldest areas of Dubai and was home to the late Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai from 1912-1958.

“The Shindagha Bridge will be the third major bridge crossing over the creek that we have successfully built in the UAE, and we are very proud as a company to be a part of shaping the history of Dubai and the UAE.”
