영국 출신의 싱어송 라이터 랄프 맥텔(Ralph Mctell)이 작곡한 곡으로

60~70년대 화려한 도시 속에서 소외되거나 잊혀져가고 있는 이들을 조명한 곡.

브리티쉬 포크를 거론할 때 빼놓을 수 없는 아티스트중 하나가 바로 랄프 맥텔이다. 

특히 1974년에 발표되어 세계적인 히트를 기록했던 “Streets of London'은 

랄프 맥텔의 이름을 알리는 데에 큰 역할을 했으며, 거리의 부랑자들의 애환을 

담은 하나의 앤썸으로 널리 불려지고 있다.

매리홉킨스, 시드니 오코너 그리고 블랙 모어나잇의 버전도 있다.

오브 런던의 원곡이 실려있다.
