발트자센 수도원 도서관은 세계에서 가장 아름다운 10대 도서관으로 꼽히고 있다.

발트자센 수도원은 1128년~1132년에 건설된 수도원으로 지금은 수녀원이 들어서 있다. 

현재의 건물은 30년간에 걸친 바바리안 전쟁으로 파괴된 것을 

1669년에 재건한 것이다.
