Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to be out at sea for an extended period of time? Maritime vlogger and sailor Jeffrey Tsang offers some insight in his new fascinating time lapse video that chronicles a cargo ship as it travels from the Red Sea to its final destination, Hong Kong. Along the way, he made stops in the Gulf of Aden, Indian Ocean, Colombo, Malacca Strait, Singapore, and the South East China Sea.
Composed of nearly 80,000 photos, Tsang’s dynamic documentary shows a wide array of horizon lines. From pinkish yellows to blustery blues, the ever-changing sky is a mesmerizing and calming sight—even among downpours and lightning storms.
“Sailing in the open sea is a truly unique way to grasp how significantly small we are in the beautiful world,” Tsang recalled. “Chasing the endless horizon, witnessing the ever changing weather, and appreciating the bright stars and galaxies.” Through his film, we're able to understand a fraction of the incredible experience.
Watch Tsang's full 10-minute video below. Be sure to do so in full screen to immerse yourself in the journey.
